Boutique Hotels

There are many lovely boutique hotels along the Miami Beach Waterfront.  Most were built in the 1920s and 1930s using an Art Deco design style.

Although there is ongoing pressure to replace these historic hotels with modern skyscrapers, a movement has been underway since the mid 1970 to protect these historic buildings.

This movement was led my a women named Barbara Capitman.
