Florida is home to five large cruise ports: Port of Miami, Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale), Port Canaveral, Tampa Port and Jacksonville Port.

The Port of Miami has long been known as the "Cruise Capital of the World" and is currently the busiest cruise ship port in the world.

Port Everglades, which is located nearby in Fort Lauderdale, is the third busiest cruise port in the world.

The Port of Miami is located on an island in Biscayne Bay situated between downtown Miami and Miami Beach. A causeway connects the island to the Florida mainland. It is easily reached from the Miami Airport and from both Miami and Miami Beach.

Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale is located 30 miles northeast of the Miami International Airport (MIA).
